Playing tweaks

  • Ball — IPL-type, ~3–4g lighter. Faster off the bat, higher scoring, lower impact risk.
  • Boundaries — Brought in ~4–5 metres / under 65m. More fours and sixes.
  • Squad — 10 a side. Easier rosters, faster overs.
  • Lights — Open matches under full floodlights after work.

Why it works

  • Weekends free — fixtures on weeknight evenings; Friday final.
  • ~100 minutes — in after work, home before bedtime.
  • Everyone involved — shorter rope and lighter ball keep every skill level in the game.
  • Live scoring — every ball on CricHeroes.

League draw

  • Pools — round-robin group stage
  • Semis — pool leaders cross over
  • Final — Friday night

Typical night schedule

  • Group nights — Wednesday & Thursday evenings
  • Knockouts — Wednesday · Friday final
  • Load — up to a few games a night under lights

Weather delays: rescheduled matches may move to a 15:30 slot when needed.

Youth categories

U13 and U16 play daytime on school and club grounds — safer surfaces, lower cost, weekends still free for families. Male and female divisions available.

Scoring & media
